The firefox behaviour is not a reference, most of GNOME applications are
consistant and we should not change them

Sorry, but I was never given a chance to set the importance level to
wishlist. I'll change the status to 'confirmed' . Only the bug-
contact/maintainer for gedit can make it a wishlist.
I had learnt from ubuntu docs that feature requests are to be rejected in
malone.

PS: Correction. It seems that for my other report, the status was
'confirmed' and the importance was 'wishlist.

Thanks for the comments. However, I think I have reported another
"wishlist" before and another person changed the status into "wishlist",
not rejecting it. Can't the same treatment be applied to this case? (as
far as I know, 'rejected' means the bug cannot be reproduced or the
behavior is intentio
you cannot simply compare the features of a full blown browser with a simple
editor

More details:
Procedure:
1) Open Gedit
2) Double click an empty area in the tab bar
Result: Nothing happens!
This is inconsistent with Firefox's behavior.
