If so could you give details on the view type (list/icons) and the type
of files (do they get preview images replacing the icon which could lead
to relayout the view?)

3) When I select a file or group of files after scrolling down in Nautilus, I
expect the vertical position to not be affected by my act of selecting.
4) Every time I select files, it resets vertical position to the top.
