Removing ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel solved this exact problem for
me. There was no need to delete additional configuration files.

Cleaning all the user settings now brasero starts and works like a
charm. Sorry for the extra work.

I have tested with a new user in the same machine and with another
machine with the same installation, and brasero starts without problem.
So before continue trying to fix this bug I will take a look at my
settings in ~/.config ~/.gnome* and ~/.local and I will try to figure
out what is happening
For packages that don't have -dbg packages you need to setup ddeb's and
install the -dbgsym packages.

I have installed libgtk-3-0-dbg and libglib2.0-0-dbg. I can't find the debug
symbols for brasero (brasero***-dbg??).

Fran, you will need to install debug symbols for atleast brasero, gtk
and glib and then redo the backtrace!
