Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Yes I know that prefixing a . to a
name makes it a hidden file. However, I have nautilus set to view hidden
files so my complaint is not that the file "disapears" and I can't open
it. The bug that occurs prevents the use of ENTER or DOUBLE-LEFT-CLICK
from being u

Under Ubuntu, if the name of the folder begins with a point, then it is
a hidden folder. It isn't a bug.
