Public bug reported: After upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10 recently, the behaviour of Empathy has changed. Before, when I received an alert about a new message and subsequently opened the message window, the new message that I saw in the alert would also be found in the message window. Now, this is not the case. The message window is blank until a second message is sent. Note that I have logging disabled. If I enable logging, then I will see the message, but without the proper CSS formatting: the message and timestamp just appear with unformatted black text.
