Thank you for your bug. Do you have gnome-applets installed? Could you
run /usr/lib/gnome-applets/gweather-applet-2 on a command line and then
add it to the gnome-panel and note if any error is printed on it?

Sorry I didn't get back to you, but I solved the problem by adding extra
files through ADEPT and it works fine. Perhaps the files were missed during
installation. Thanks anyway. ... Ian
