*** This bug is a security vulnerability *** Public security bug reported:
When logged into my accounts, such as Facebook and Google and when I have notifications present, specifically messages in Empathy, my computer screen will not wake up if the computer is locked. The screen itself notices the mouse movements and wakes up, but what I mean is that the screen stays a dark blank color. I can't get any response from the computer once this happens, and I have to force a reboot every time this happens. Please fix, I have more information if needed :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 Package: gdm 3.8.4-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-13.20-generic 3.11.6 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-13-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Nov 14 12:15:11 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-11-10 (4 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" - Release amd64 (20131017) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gdm UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gdm Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug gnome3-ppa saucy third-party-packages ** Information type changed from Private Security to Public Security -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1251343 Title: Computer screen will not wake up with notifications present To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/1251343/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
