Public bug reported:

UbuntuStudio 14.04 AMD64 BETA 1 (Alpha)

This works fine on 12.04 bug only exists on the BETA.

I have a Western Digital MyBook 4TB USB disk drive. The drive has two
partitions.

When I plug it in after logging in, the partitions are not detected.
Furthermore Disk Utility says that this is NOT a SMART disk and show the disk
as empty.

If I plug in the disk before booting the os, then the partitions are
detected and usable, but SMART is still not supported.

On 12.04 I have fully functionality.

also, I have a Seagate 4TB Backup Plus and it has full functionality
(including SMART) on 14.04
