In my case, it crashes always when there is no internet connection, but
it doesn't disappears from the panel. Some time later it crashes again,
and again, and ...

It's happening to me now in Hardy/x86_64.
Re-entering with tickers in uppercase fixes the problem. It's such an
easy fix, for a 9-month old bug.
On a side note, it's a pain in the ass to enter data in this applet -
why must I double-click into every field, rather than being able to tab
through o

Just installed the applet and tried to add a ticker symbol. I have not
used the applet before. new 8.04 release and just performed all updates
before installing applet.

The updates that applied this morning seems to have resolved the crash
issue. 2.22.0-0ubuntu1 published 10 March. Now that it is running I see
two minor issues. The stock symbols MUST be entered as upper case. That
can be worked around. The other is that the amounts can only be whole
numbers. The f

I can't seem to get this to work and show anything on 7.10 (patched as
of 2008.03.11) so I tried it on gutsy alpha 3? also just patched. This
time it crashed with this same crash reported last year by the original
