Exactly same behaviour for me when editing a alt tag .. gedit process
consumes all CPU, eventually freezing the whole gnome session, just
mouse moves and crtl+alt+backspace allows to restart the session .. once
the session is re-opened, I have to kill the CPU-consuming gedit process

I experienced this behavior earlier when editing HTML files. I can
reproduce the behavior when opening the provided osm.html file and
adding a href= to line 105. To reproduce:
- Open a gedit window
- Copy the source code into the editor
- Enable HTML syntax coloring
- Scroll to line 105
- Add a
This is exactly the same for me and the backtrace is also not
successful.
