Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
[I do have the correct codec for the file type I'm trying to play, and have previously successfully used this installation of Rhythmbox before.] Upon startup, here's what my terminal looks like: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ rhythmbox & [1] 6930 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /home/everett/.themes/Gilouche/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:42: Clearlooks configuration option "menuitemstyle" is not supported and will be ignored. /home/everett/.themes/Gilouche/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:43: Clearlooks configuration option "listviewitemstyle" is not supported and will be ignored. /home/everett/.themes/Gilouche/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:44: Clearlooks configuration option "progressbarstyle" is not supported and will be ignored. /bin/sh: /usr/bin/esd: not found When I double-click a song in my rhythmbox library, the song appears to "load" (e.g. the title, artist and album appear above the progress bar), but the status is shown next to the song in the library as paused and it does not play. If I try to unpause it, the following appears in my terminal: (rhythmbox:6930): RhythmDB-CRITICAL **: rhythmdb_entry_ref: assertion `entry != NULL' failed (rhythmbox:6930): RhythmDB-CRITICAL **: rhythmdb_entry_get_ulong: assertion `entry != NULL' failed (rhythmbox:6930): RhythmDB-CRITICAL **: rhythmdb_entry_get_string: assertion `entry != NULL' failed (the last two lines appear repeatedly until I pause the song once again) ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox refuses to play; complains about esd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136366 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
