Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
gnome screensaver logs off user after timed out to engage
screensaver....screensaver never comes on
cannot access screensaver GUI control panel to adjust settings...as soon as you
go to preferences and click on screensaver it logs you off and
returns you to the main log on screen....screensaver never engages.
happened after running the last update manager
was able to disable screensaver through gconf edit gui only
could not disable through command line
took me a full day to get this far as the time to engage for the screensaver
was set to 8mins so everytime I would try something and then read up on it it
would log me off....
This is my first time with ubuntu and so far I'm loving it....if this would
have been windows I still would have been fighting it I'm sure.
