I think you are right about a broken installation. I'm running Gutsy Herd 5 (plus updates). I had been running Gutsy since Herd 3, but i reinstalled at one point. It was after that when GNOME-control-center stopped working. I'll try reinstalling again from a daily snapshot tonight. -- GNOME
