It happens to me as well. When i open system setting on ubuntu(14.10),
it starts to work again. But it is really annoying. Hope it is fixed
soon.

Long Delay When Pressing V
Same thing happens to me.
Also, I use html5 on videos. Looks like this is somehow connected. On basic,
non html5 video content, volume, brightness and other notebook acpi shortcuts
works as intended (instantly).

There is a long delay between pressing the Up or Down volume key until the
volumen change (5 - 20 seconds).
I have only firefox and terminal open, but many tabs.
This is a regression e.g. the bug has been fixed before but has reappeared.
