Public bug reported: Had Ubuntu 14.04.1 32 bit desktop installed on my 32 bit mac mini and all worked well, did and apt-get dist-upgrade to 14.04.2 and now it doesn't boot unless i have a monitor attached. Tried altering grub options but this made no difference. Monitor not required as have configured grub to boot to command line. Using it as a headless jenkins build slave as server edition doesn't appear seem to be available/supported for 32 bit machines.
