This is NOT related to bug 14420, in which WMF files cannot be opened
with Image Viewer.
I can open the attached wmf file (and others) just fine with GIMP 2.6.3
(Intrepid-backports) and 2.4.6 (Hardy).
I will close this bug.

Apologizes for closing the bug. It seems to be fixed only on Intrepid,
