I think Bryan is into something. If I understood correctly, in past
versions, you could hide the notes by clicking the desktop background;
as of 2.25.x, it changed to hide by clicking the applet (clicking the
applet now toggle the notes). But Ubuntu Intrepid shipped with 2.24,

I think I've discovered the problem: looks like stickynotes is listening

clicking on the desktop window (among other causes, of course). The
problem is that the property doe

The problem still persists in my current installation, but doesn't
happen in a fresh installation on the same machine. The application is
still missing the desktop-clicked event, so the callback (which hides
the notes) is not called.
For what I've read here, the problem seems to be compiz. I've ac

I was having the problem in Gutsy, and after upgrading to Hardy the

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Thanks in advance.

I mean that someone having this problem maybe can send the bug upstream,
upstream in this case meaning the authors/maintainers of gnome-
applets/sticky notes component in the GNOME Bugzilla, located at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org, thanks.

What do you mean?
Is the bug fixed? Sended upstream? Do you mean the distributionlist?

I have found the same problem.

I realized that when I enabled compiz thur the appearance dialog, they
began to work again, even when turning off compiz. So you may have to
enable compiz to get them working as they did in 7.04 and then if you
don't want compiz enabled turn it off again, and the sticks should
continue to work in
Hmm, for some reason they're working again... I didn't really do anything or
download any updates, so I'm not sure why... but yeah, they started working...
Anybody else's just fix themselves?
