Public bug reported: I have GEdit in the launcher, when I click on it the icon blips as usual, but the GEdit window never comes up. If I try to start it from the terminal I get the following message:
** (gedit:11540): CRITICAL **: file log.c: line 980: unexpected error: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.gnome.zeitgeist.Engine: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Process /usr/bin/zeitgeist-daemon exited with status 21 (g-dbus-error-quark, 25) This is not a crash, the programme is exiting orderly, but there is something going on with that zeitgeist process that GEdit does not like.
