fwiw I have the same behaviour here in vanilla ubuntu 7.10 desktop, with another note: if you go into proper fullscreen presentation mode by hitting f5, then press f11 you end up back in windowed mode, but with the buttons at the top of the window to start presentation or leave fullscreen. If you

I'm having similar problems with evince when I enable compiz. Basically, evince will open with the wrong geometry (slightly higher than the screen) and more than half its window would be outside the screen (top- left corner almost at the centre of the screen). But evince is not the only
