Yeah the delays look like they're triggered by changes in your network
interfaces (e.g. the removal of the dock/ethernet interface):

Having unmounted my NFS drives, things seem to be back to normal. Will

Turns out I can trigger this by simply locking and trying to unlock now
I'm undocked.

Might be relevant: I had an NFS drive mapped, but network was
disconnected at the time I unmounted (on purpose).
