1919, didn't realize it was quite that many xD Still, is it reasonable
to expect this sort of delay or could GNOME process it better? Files is
still functional when loading it whereas Settings isn't, apparently...

Title:
Background > Desktop uses 2GB RAM and 20% C
The CPU usage drops after a while with Background > Desktop still open
and the RAM usage drops when Settings is closed.
What command do I need to run? :)

It looks like something is eating/leaking file descriptors. I guess
that's going away after a reboot? Any chance to use lsof to see which
process is using your fds?
