Checked the reported bug in Hardy RC. The bug seems to have been fixed
in the latest release of gnome-control-center, as the details entered in
the About Me window seems to be intact after a reboot. Closing this bug
as fix released, feel free to open this bug if it is reproducible in
Hardy.

Ah, I'm sorry for not being specific enough.
1. Specific Steps: (1) I open the gnome-about-me application. (2) I fill
in the better majority of the fields (excluding: Contacts -> Instant
Messaging -> Jabber, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, Groupwise (I filled in AIM)). (3)
I click the "Close" button. (4) I close
