Thanks Jeremy, as you said cdebconf-terminal is gone post focal.
I found no other new dependencies either.
Indeed the modern version is fine and keeps being updated

Archive Admins, cdebconf-terminal was removed from Ubuntu years ago.
Please remove vte and add it to the sync blocklist.
The vte source package only exists in Debian because it is a component
of the Debian installer and the Debian installer system is explictily
unsupported in Ubuntu. Eventually,
No action taken on the cdebconf-terminal reverse-dependency in 6+
months; unsubscribing ubuntu-archive. Please resubscribe when this is
ready for removal.

resolved first before we do an Ubuntu-specific removal.
