You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: update-manager
I usually set my CPU profile to Conservative or Powersave, using GNOME applet CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor v2.21.4 (which I've set-ui to root). Every time I launch update-manager, it set the CPU profile to OnDemand. This can cause my laptop to over-heat. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [hardy] update-manager ALWAYS sets CPU Scaling to OnDemand https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/187568 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
