the library stored on the local machine. If this is an issue with
duplicated file names, could perhaps file name be appended with a (1),
(2) ... ? I believe this is how Apple Music (iTunes) does it?

Fill the Album and Artist text fields in the rhythmbox CD ui, before
pressing 'Extract'.
Rhythmbox will place the extracted tracks in the appropriate folder
based on 'Album' and 'Artist', thereby avoiding this error.

I am using Rhythmbox 3.4.3-2 on debian 10 and this bug is a real problem
when it comes to import tracks from a cd where the names of said tracks
can not be found one the internet. All tracks are named the same
("Inconnu" in french, probably "unknown" in english) and it triggers the

I imported an artist folder 'Ghost' while having 'Copy files that are outside
the music library' checked, then I closed the importer and tried importing the
same files again. Then I got the error.
