Public bug reported: When booting my Lenovo E490 with the Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub (a kind of dock) already attached, the machine crashes after entering password into the graphical login interface. More precisely the login does not complete (in a reasonable time frame) and I cannot switch to another virtual terminal. Some menus can be selected, but there is no action (e.g. reboot) and I have to do a hard shutdown (pressing the power button for 4 sec.). The log files show a kernel oops. When attaching the dock after login the system seems to work normally.
I do have the latest displaylink drivers installed (www.displaylink.com). Attached is a log file snippet. ** Affects: mutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Log file snippet" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887914/+attachment/5393436/+files/report.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1887914 Title: Partial freeze if booting with USB-C dock attached To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1887914/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
