I got a latest patch/update which seems to have solved this:

I can confirm I have the very same problem with:

There was a new version of F-Spot this morning, but it still crashes.
There is no file in /var/crash generated.
This is an amd64 installation with all the updates as of an hour ago.
Here is the console output.
