@Fedon: I think this is an issue which should be better reported to
GNOME upstream. But gnome-control-center is probably not the correct
project, since gnome-control-center just sets the dconf value in
question, while the problem is that that value is no longer honored in
x11 sessions. So it would

I see the same behavior in Ubuntu 22.10 when running X11 ("Ubuntu on
Xorg"). I don't see this bug with Wayland.
