You have been subscribed to a public bug: Step 1: Install simple-ccsm. Install compizconfig-settings-manager.
Step 2: Remove simple-ccsm (because its... too simple) ** gnome-appearance-properties no longer allows you to choose "custom" settings ** Step 3: Reinstall simple-ccsm. Try to select "Custom Settings". Nothing appears to happen. Close appearance dialog and reopen... it doesn't have Custom selected... ??? Step 4: Choose "Extra" effects and then open the compizconfig-settings- manager... for some reason despite the fact that custom may not be an option and "Extra" is chosen... its actually allowing you to configure everything. I'm assuming this is mostly UB and if not... poorly thought out. -------------------------------------- Ubuntu Hardy Alpha6 gnome-control-center 1:2.22.0-0ubuntu1 ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gnome-Appearance-Properties fails to Alllow Custom Compiz Settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
