On plucky gnome-control-center 1:48.0-1ubuntu3, with PC where display is
on NVIDIA GPU, with unused Intel Integrated graphics, the issue is
reproducible as the integrated GPU is listed as NVIDIA GeForce RTX™

Looking at the diff I feel like the test plan should include a
regression test on a system with only a single NVIDIA GPU

For Oracular and Plucky, an upcoming point release (47.6 an 48.2) update
should be sufficient to fix this issue. I would like to check
maintainer preferences on how this should be worked on.

I can now reproduce the issue on a desktop:
ubuntu@localhost:~$ switcherooctl list
Device: 0
Name:NVIDIA Corporation AD106 [GeForce RTX 4060 Ti]
Default: yes
Environment: __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1
__VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only
Device: 1
What I discovered with the above fix, on the laptop, is that, when you
use
prime-select nvidia
this issue is reproducible, which can also indicate that, switcheroo cannot
actually switch which GPU to render.
The previous fix assumes the renderer can be switched by switcheroo normally.
However I

Heya! I still have the machine setup with this issue. I've since
upgraded to 24.04, so if there's a PPA or some other thing I can test,
I'll happily do so. :)
