Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

When I close/open the lid on my laptop it beeps if I have the gnome-
power-preferences set to "Use sound to notify in case of an error" and
it is silent if that checkbox is unchecked. Opening or closing the lid
is NOT an error and the user should not be annoyed with a beep just
because they want to be notified of real errors.

Ubuntu Hardy, 8.04, current updates.
Dell XPS M1530

** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
