Also happens to me, both when mounting through Nautilus and gvfs-mount, the link that appears on the Desktop and the mounted folder at ~/.gvfs is invariably the remote root. This is just a nuisance with my local MythTV server, but some servers do not allow access to root, so this issue could

I experience the same problem. Tried to mount from a newly created local user account to check if that solved the problem, but it didn't. Hardy was originally installed as Alpha5, but up to date as of today. -- mounting an sftp volume ignores specified directory
