Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Found using Ubuntu 8.04 gnome-power-manager 2.22.1-1ubuntu4. The values set for the time to sleep (the computer or the display) using the sliders in the gnome-power-preferences dialog do not agree with the values that can be found in gconf under apps > gnome-power-manager > timeout. For instance, I set the slider for the delay to sleep the computer (when on battery power) to 30 minutes using the gnome-power-preferences slider. Then, when I looked at the value using gconf, it said 1200 seconds (20 minutes). I changed the value to 15 minutes in the preferences dialog and then gconf said 300 seconds (10 minutes). Also, while fixing this request, the sliders should be adjusted so that the values can go below 11 minutes. I would like to be able to set my display sleep timeout as low as 30s without have to use gconf. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-power preferences slider values do not agree with gconf settings for gnome-power-manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228040 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
