does it only happens with totem-xine? did you try the same with totem-
gstreamer? can you take an screenshot of the issue? thanks.

This does not happen with totem-gstreamer. I cannot get a screenshot as
using the PrntScrn key actually corrects the problem before it gets a
screenshot. Also, pressing volume up or down also corrects the problem.
