Hi. To clarify. I originally was able to burn CDs, but depending on whether I
had or had not previously burnt a CD (during the current session) I would get
different speed options. Even though I can no longer burn CDs when using
Ubuntu (has there been changes to the software between the

What I think is happening is that as I have two drives, Ubuntu is confused as
to which one I want to use. Brasero 0.8.1 will work with one drive but not the
same one as the nautilus-cd-burner (write to disk) program displays. Brasero
does not see the other drive. Please but this bug report on
there is no need to reconfigure anything, devices are detected when
booting

I can burn ISO files in Windows XP on both drives using Infra Recorder.
I've put the CDs in the other drive (from which I burnt them in each
case) and CD disk integrity is fine. The fault must be a software (or
configuration) problem.

Thanks for the reply. This error is reproducible. Since I last reported this
problem things have got a little worse.
To recreate - put CDR in drive. Click on ISO file (Intrepid Beta) and select
Wrirte to Disk. Use CDDVDW SH-S202J (Only drive listed). Use slowest speed
CD:1.0x DVD:0.1x (see
