from intrepid-proposed and then mount the samba filesystems using mount
(not gvfs) and the nodfs option, if you always want the filesystem
mounted you can add it to /etc/fstab.

Damaged OpenOffice files from sa
Okay - I'm no Linux geek, but trying...
I do have gvfs installed - I have Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on the server and can
not update it so I can't run the newer Samba and I'm running Ubuntu 8.10
on all of the PC's which has 2.6.27-9-generic kernel on it. I would
like to make as few changes as possible
Adding gvfs as well since it looks like gvfs should be using the nodfs
option when connecting to known buggy SMB servers(?)
