Ok, I still had no luck with generating any meaningful crash log, so I

Ok, I'll need some further directions on that. I enabled apport
according to the article at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport (enabled=1 in
/etc/default/apport, rebooted system) but it did not budge when
evolution crashed. Also, I tried to get evolution to crash while being
monitored by valgrind
Can confirm ilpssun's behavior. Get exactly the same behavior and also the same
printout. Running
Version: 2.24.3-0ubuntu1
from the proposed repos. Also running evolution-exchange.

This (or a very similar) bug still happens to me. Quite often when I
switch to the calendar view (using the Exchange connector) evolution
just crashes or displays Task unexpectedly aborted as well as
Calendar unexpectedly aborted. The next few launches of evolution
then usually lead to immediate
The problem is gone since I installed las libc upgrade :
ii libc6 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu6
