(now running Jaunty) I just encountered this bug again. dmesg shows no
program crashing. I'll implement the trick on the linked page to see if
evo is crashing next time it happens.

Is there some other way to do this than running gdb every time I log in
for a problem that happens sometimes less than once a month?

If you close the bug, then I'd have to open another one when I next
experience this bug. I've provided backtraces, and the current request
is to run gdb ALL THE TIME which isn't really feasable,
_just_to_make_sure_ that eds isn't crashing, despite the fact that every
respawned user process I've see
could you get a stacktrace? there is no real use to reopen the bug if

I have had the same problem.
When clicking on Calendar on gnome task bar, the whole task bar freezes.
For some reason, when I click on the gnome calendar on the task bar,
near the shutdown button, the while task bar freezes. I can’t then
select any of my programs or open menus from the task bar
the issue is similar to bug #203527 and bug #275847

I don't think eds is crashing. Its PID is a low number (compared to the
rest) and appears pretty high up in "ps ax". I wasn't expecting this to
happen, so I was gdbing eds or anything at the time - post mordem only.

I'm marking this fixed, as I haven't been able to reproduce this bug for
over a week. If symptoms return, I will reopen.

I'm sorry I don't understand. I have a location set to Greensboro, NC. I
have my Personal Calendar, the Google Summer of Code 2008 calendar, and

The best steps I can describe are to click on the panel. It doesn't
happen as often anymore, but I just managed to reproduce it (all updates
applied). I usually have evolution open, but I can't remember if it was
open or not when all the other freezes occured.
