In current lucid with all updates I can reproduce a segmentation fault
in gnome-appearance-properties in the following way:
1) open "Appearance"
2) choose "Dust" theme
3) customize and choose "Human" icon theme
4) go back to main theme tab and choose "ambiance"
5) result: it crashes every single

Two fresh installs of Jaunty and this bug persists also I'm not sure if
this is because of this bug, but I thought it might be worth mentioning,
that I get no preview images in the gnome-appearance-properties when
browsing icons some do appear for controls but not all. screenshots:

I've tried to build package with --enable-debug option, but it has been
stripped by debian build system. Next i've built it manually and ran
"capplets/appearance/.libs/gnome-appearance-properties" and it worked
properly!

Me too, same problem with a lot of themes, with the following message:
(gnome-appearance-properties:9626): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8
string passed to pango_layout_set_text()

and to me many GTK+ theme enfines are missing, so themes do not appear

Yes my fonts are changed ( I first had run 1.0RC installer

I log in to this host through xdmcp from windows host using xming
xming +extension Composite -once -query test
This crash isn't appears If I remove +extension Composite but it worked
fine for hardy and gutsy
I tried to login from computer with intrepid (everything is updated) and
