that's not an epiphany issue, the webbrowser is not the component
playing audio there, rather a flash plugin or sound configuration issue

Confirmed the same behaviour here, 8.10, flash-nonfree, epiphany-gecko.
Works in firefox okay but half the video sites just plain don't load.
Might be a flash codec issue or something, iplayer low quality plays
fine for example but high quality won't load. no youtube video will
load.

Upon further testing, I had installed epiphany-browser and flashplugin-nonfree
and youtube videos work just fine.
Try reinstalling epiphany-browser then flashplugin-nonfree after and see if
this fixes your problem.
