the gvfs version doesn't list exactly the same disks, what drive would
you expect to see listed which is not there?

there?

Hmm previously I think maybe I used to see root and another partition I always
have mounted (/discs/more) and also this luks partition of sda3 that used to
appear in Hardy; I've just tried inserting a USB stick and those do appear.
I suspect the loss of the root icon maybe an expected change?
