Rejecting gimp-print task, adding gnome-cups-manager task. I don't agree here, location is used by CUPS webinterface too for indicating in which room/department the printer is located. Name is already used for the printer name e.g. hpdj3820. I think gnome-cups-add should give an example of what location means, as CUPS web interface does: Human-readable location such as "Lab 1"
gnome-cups-manager is soon to be replaced by printerdrake because it is not maintained upstream anymore. ** Changed in: gimp-print (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gimp-print => gutenprint Status: Unconfirmed => Rejected ** Changed in: gutenprint (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gutenprint => gnome-cups-manager Importance: Medium => Wishlist Status: Rejected => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - printer location in printer properties + give an example of printer location -- give an example of printer location https://launchpad.net/bugs/28434 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
