I had once again a similar problem and a friend of mine got the same issue
with another harddrive. But this seems to be an issue of the Seagate
Barracuda 7200.11 that is already fixed in new models.
The files on this harddrive are not accessible any more. I will bring it to
a local data rescue comp

get the data backed up using Hardy.

So it seems to be a problem that is really somehow connected with Intrepid.
I recommence to backup your files since it though may be a kind sign that you
harddrive will die.
Mine is still not working yet, although I replaced the board.

can mount it fine using Hardy.

Okay, I tried to reproduce it and I again got that error.
Then my harddrive crashed and now it is unaccessible. Before, it worked
still fine with my Hardy system.
So there are two possibilities:
a) My harddrive just had some serious issues and Intrepid has something
like a detector for that ;)
