I am surprised that no on else that knows how to send you that
information has not had this problem too.
I can recreate it every time on two different machines with two different
installs on 8.10.

No there were errors when http://ddebs.ubuntu.com intrepid-security was
checked in Third Party Software Sources.
I can tell you in detail how to recreate the fault.
i also can't seem to get the alarms to work.

Not at all sure what you are talking about. g I just want the
application to work right. g
I can document the exact steps in two different installs of 8.10 on two
different machines if that would help.
I also can't seem to get he alarms to run.
