Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
With Wine installed, it should be possible to autorun Windows software installation CDs and install their contents. Inserting the Operation Flashpoint CD 1, Nautilus gives the option to autorun in a context menu, or in a bar at the top of the window when you open the CD in Nautilus, but this fails with the message "Error autorunning software: Cannot find the autorun program". It seems autorun.inf specifies autorun.exe, but there is no file called that; it's actually called AutoRun.exe. The CD expects to be run on Windows, of course, where the filesystem is not case sensitive, so it would be found. If this bug is considered a bug at all, it is probably desirable to limit case insensitivity to the cases where the autorun program is a Windows program. ** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- autorun case sensitivity is too strict in some cases https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313212 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-volume-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
