Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
More symptoms are logged together as I believe they have a common root
cause - input boundaries are not checked:
1) When the maximum length of string supplied to Leave Message is
reached, the text area gets grayed and user is not able to modify the
text any further.
2) Also when Leave Message after reaching the maximum length as in 1) is
cancelled, the text area remains grayed and it is not possible to send
any further message using Send Message until user logs on.
3) Also when the Leave Messsage receives empty input and is saved, an
empty message gets displayed after user logs on.
4) Also when Leave Message receives too many lines of text (for example
1 character on line but as much lines as possible), the text displayed
after logon may be higher than the screen and thus partially invisible.
5) Also when the input to Leave Message reaches the maximum length, the
mouse cursor gets hidden when hovering over the grayed text area.
Steps to reproduce:
Scenario 1)
Menu/Lock screen
swipe mouse
click Leave Message
submit a long string in the text area, until it gets grayed
try to erase the last character to un-gray the text area -- you cannot
Scenario 2)
Menu/Lock screen
swipe mouse
click Leave Message
submit a long string in the text area, until it gets grayed
click Cancel
click Leave Message -- the text area is still grayed and doesn't accept input
Scenario 3)
Menu/Lock screen
swipe mouse
click Leave Message
click Save
submit password -- a yellow popup with no text appears
Scenario 4)
Menu/Lock screen
swipe mouse
click Leave Message
submit as many lines of input as possible (a, enter, a, enter etc.)
click Save
submit password -- a yellow popup is too high to be readable
Scenario 5)
Menu/Lock screen
swipe mouse
click Leave Message
submit a long string in the text area, until it gets grayed
hover the mouse over the grayed text area -- the mouse pointer disappears until
leaves the text area
