down the computer"

so. But I'd like to emphasize that it still doesn't make perfect sense
- "Quit," "No, don't, just lock my screen" isn't any better than
"Start," "Shutdown"... actually in a way that makes better sense because

that provides a similar dialog with several other options? If that is
the case, then there are much bigger issues that new users have with
Windows than the log out menu option.

It's certainly a compromise, and I hope the tooltip text is enough of a
disambiguator. Most people will FIRST want that button to power down
(thats what my folks do when they are done with using the computer) and
along the way they will discover that they have all these other ways to
step away.
