Public bug reported: Currently the default keyboard shortcut combination for switching keyboard layouts in "Keyboard Indicator" applet, is "Alt+Alt".
This key combination does not work. In Windows, the default shortcut is "Alt+Shift". I suggest using "Alt+Shift" as the default shortcut for keyboard layout switching, for two reasons: 1. The current "Alt+Alt" combination does not work. 2. "Alt+Shift" combination is familiar to people switching from Windows to Linux. Also people who switch from Linux to Windows will also find it convenient that they have to use the same shortcut to switch between different keyboard layouts. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- use "Alt+Shift" as default keyboard layout keyboard shortcut https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347508 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-applets in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
