I just tried it again and it seems to be working as it should.
Are there any more issues or is the fix made?
I had switched to kMail and kCalender out of need so I wasn't fully
aware that a fix had been made.

I didn't know that, to keep pressing enter. There are no instructions.
I get to the end and then do the backtrace and press enter. it does the
backtrace.
I try to quit but it tells me it is still running. what then?
Has the file been created or do I still need to do something in order to
save it
when running the first command you need to do "enter" until getting the
gdb line then you can type "continue"

the way to get a stacktrace is either to use apport or gdb this way
- start evolution on the email component
- gdb --pid `pidof evolution-data-server-2.26`
(gdb) continue
- switch evolution to the calendar
- the gdb prom

Could someone please explain to me step by step how to obtain this
stacktrace?
I will be learning something new in the process and this won't be as

OK I just tried following the instructions and this is what I was able
to come up with.
I did indeed try to save a reoccurring event and the calendar froze up
solid and I had to do a force quit.
It will do this every time. I cannot even click on anything in the
calendar section with out the freez
the lack of crash stacktace, the gdb log as no crash
