Hi, thanks for replying. After reading your comment I tried the
calendar again and I can happily report that the update did indeed fix
this issue, at least for me! I didn't get a stacktrace of evolution-
data-server but it seems moot now. Thanks again!

I have more info. If I move the file calendar.ics located in
~/.evolution/calendar/local/system Evolution runs fine when switching to
calendar - except, of course, I no longer have my calendar entries.
I moved the file back, and the bug recurred. Unlike the original
reporter of this bug, I do ha
I can confirm this in Jaunty, running Evolution 2.26.1. Suddenly,
today, it hangs every single time when switching to calendar view. The
assisstive technologies "fix" mentioned elsewhere does nothing (it
wasn't enabled initially anyway).

while looking around for an answer to this problem, i saw yesterday that
it might have something to do with the presence of recurrent events in
the evolution calendar. i use 1 calendar that resides only on this
computer.so, since my calendar was now empty, i put about 2 dozen event
I've encountered a couple of problems with the backtrace instructions:
1. i added the 4 repository lines, and it gave me the following error:
W: GPG error: http://ddebs.ubuntu.com jaunty Release: The following
signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available:
NO_PUBKEY ECDC
"Import the debug symbol archive signing
key:" and then give me code. my problem is that i'm unsure where to
enter the code.
